New to Odoo? Let's get it set up properly.

Moving off spreadsheets or a basic accounting package onto Odoo looks simple in the demo and then isn't. The software's fine — it's the first few weeks, the "where does this go, is this set up right, why won't it do that," that wear people down. I've spent 30 years getting companies through exactly this kind of system change, and I'm offering to do it free for 3 businesses.

Getting Odoo set up properly normally runs £10k–£50k with a consultant. Free for 3 founding businesses, in exchange for honest feedback while I refine how I work.

How it works

  1. Tell me about your business — the questions a good consultant asks: what you sell, how you invoice, whether you hold stock.
  2. I get Odoo set up to how you actually work — products, customers, invoicing, VAT, workflows. You review and approve before anything goes live.
  3. I help you keep it running — when you're stuck in the early weeks you get an answer, not a two-day wait on a helpdesk.

Founding clients

I'm setting up Odoo free for 3 businesses — free setup, hands-on, and help through the first stretch. We use Odoo's free open-core edition, so there's no software licence fee. Your only running costs are server hosting and a few small unavoidable ones (for example, AI/LLM usage where the service uses it). The setup work is free.

Longer term there'd be a paid plan to keep things running — but I'm not going to pretend I know the right number yet. It depends on how many users you have, how much you lean on it, what features you need. Working that out fairly is part of the pilot.

No lock-in, ever. If at any point it's not for you, you keep everything I've set up and I hand it straight over. It's your business, not a hostage.

✓ No lock-in — your setup is always yours to take

Questions

How much does Odoo cost?
We use Odoo's free open-core (Community) edition — no software licence fee at all. The expensive part is setup: most businesses pay a partner £10k–£50k. For the pilot I remove that bill. Your only ongoing costs are server hosting and a few small unavoidable running costs (such as AI/LLM usage where the service uses it).
Do I need a consultant?
No — that's the point. I do the consultant's job with you, and you review and approve everything before it goes live.
How long does setup take?
Doing it alone often takes a non-technical owner 6–12 months of trial and error. With me it's days to weeks, not months.
What does it cost long term?
Honestly, I don't have a fixed price yet — it'll depend on users, volume and features, and part of this pilot is working out what's fair together. And no lock-in either way: if you'd rather not carry on, everything I've set up is yours and I hand it over.
Why are you doing this free?
I'm refining how I run these setups and want a few real businesses to do it with. Free for 3, in exchange for honest feedback.
How can you turn it round so fast?
Years of doing this means I've built up templates and tooling that handle the repetitive parts quickly.
